Day 1: Fly to Phnom Penh from the UK
Day 2: Arrive in the capital Phnom Penh, private transfer to your hotel. Afternoon: Explore at leisure.
Day 3: Enjoy a cyclo tour of the capital. See the shimmering Silver Pagoda, the buzzing Russian market and enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Mekong. Head to the poignant Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
Day 4: Depart Phnom Penh for Kampong Cham, a previous trading post of the French on the Mekong River. After a quick tour continue to Wat Nokor, a Buddhist temple. Arrive at Kratie and after a short boat journey arrive at your Koh Trong island hotel. Relax and enjoy your surroundings!
Day 5: After breakfast, catch a tuk tuk to the village of Kampi. This is one of the best places to spot the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins on the Mekong River. Then, travel onwards to the village of Sambo, and see Wat Sorsor Mouy Roy, the 100 Pillar Pagoda. Return to Koh Trong and experience a local horse cart ride, or hire a bicycle and circumnavigate the island.
Day 6: Begin your journey to Kampong Thom province, stopping en route at Phnom Santuk Mountain. Climb almost 1000 steps to the top, to visit the pagoda and marvel at the amazing views over the countryside. Enjoy an afternoon cycling tour along the river.
Day 7: Start your drive to Siem Reap, and stop off at Sambor Prei Kuk, one of the most important pre-Angkorian sites in Cambodia. Arrive at Siem Reap & check in. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
Day 8: Explore Ta Prohm Temple, which has been reclaimed by the jungle! Continue to Banteay Kdei and Srah Srang. After, visit the historic city of Angkor Thom and see the iconic Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
This evening there will be a performance by the Phare Circus for you to enjoy.
