Nara, a cultural haven.

This park is full of roaming deer, who were thought to be messengers of the gods.
Visit the iconic glistening Great Buddha at Todai-ji, found inside one of Earth’s largest wooden buildings. There is a well-known pillar in the temple with a 50cm hole through its base, normally with a line of people trying to squeeze through. It may be worth it, as you are guaranteed enlightenment if you can make it through!
Sit on a tatami mat and have a tea at the beautiful Isuien Garden, a perfect example of a Japanese garden.
