Antigua has 95 miles of coastline: beaches, coves and sheltered bays. Long Bay is family friendly with protected reefs. Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay are more developed with bars and facilities. Half Moon Bay has pink sand, while Hawksbill Bay is quiet and popular with naturists.

Swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking, sailing, boating, banana boats, jet skiing, parasailing, and fishing are all popular water based activities. 3. Food and Drink

Historic Nelson’s Dockyard was home to Nelson in 1780’s and has forts and museum. St John’s, the capital, was built by the British 150 yrs ago, and has a museum, duty-free shopping and public market, revealing a glimpse of local life. Explore Betty’s Hope Sugar Plantation, an open air museum.
Try ‘Seafood Friday’ at Nelson’s Dockyard. On Sundays, Shirley Heights have a sunset BBQ, party atmosphere and live steelpan music.

Why not take a boat trip to the remote and beautiful island of BARBUDA which is surrounded by protected reefs? The almost deserted white and pink sand beaches are spectacular, and diving, fishing and bird watching are excellent. The island is home to the Frigate Bird Sanctuary. With the Atlantic and Caribbean on different sides, the island offers relaxation and a perfect escape.
