There are many museums to visit…Prado National museum houses one of the largest and most diverse art collections in the world.  The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza has nearly 1000 pieces of artwork on display, from the 13^th century to late 20th century. The Centro de Arte Reina Sofia is Madrid’s major contemporary art museum, and is home to Picasso’s Guernica.
