Visit the Roman theatre, discovered in the 1950’s, it is the venue for many shows today. Climb the 200 stairs of the Cathedral, for stunning views. It is known locally as La Manquita, or one –armed woman, because its 2nd tower was not finished.
In the Old Town, head up Calle Granada, meandering through squares and terraces. Leading to Plaza de la Merced, the birthplace of Picasso in 1881, you will find superb bars and restaurants. Stop to sample some fresh seafood and local wines. If you are looking for sleek shopping head to Calle Marques de Larios. For a feel of local life, the Atarazana local food market is a must.
