Greetings from the serene shores of Panormos.  Our recent family escape to the Grecotel Marine Palace & Aqua Park was nothing short of magical, and I'm excited to share our delightful experience with you.

Nestled in the heart of Panormos, a picturesque haven boasting quaint tavernas, charming gift shops, and a small fishing harbor, our getaway began with the promise of a peaceful retreat. The simplicity of this coastal village instantly set the stage for a relaxing holiday.

1) Perfect Weather for Little Ones

October in Crete graced us with mid-20s temperatures—a sweet spot for our young adventurers. The golden sun and gentle breezes made every day a joy.

The real stars for our 7 and 6-year-olds? The incredible splash park and Aqua Park. Endless giggles echoed as they explored shallow waters, zipped down slides, and reveled in aquatic adventures. The bigger slides add a dash of thrill for older kids.

Gastronomic wonders awaited us at the all-inclusive buffet. Freshly cooked meats, savoury pizzas, an array of fish, a bountiful salad bar, and a dessert selection that delighted both young and old. Ice cream lovers, brace yourselves—the ice cream counter was a hit! There's also a mini buffet with simple foods for young kids & toddlers, a really lovely touch!

4) Pools Galore

From the beachside pool to the main one by the restaurant, the Marine Palace pool, Aqua Park, and even an indoor pool and spa—options abounded for every water-loving soul.

5) Blissful Beach Days

A small but idyllic beach offered the perfect spot for relaxation. With massage services available and chairs under parasols, we found our own slice of paradise overlooking the azure ocean. There's also a watersports centre on the beach *additional charge.

6) Culinary Adventures Continue

Dining was a treat with a choice of a la carte restaurants. The Asian restaurant and the charm of the Greek taverna added cultural spice to our evenings.

7) Sporting Fun for Everyone

For the sporty souls, tennis, football, table tennis, and a well-equipped gym awaited, ensuring everyone had their share of active enjoyment.

8) Practical Perks

Free parking, conveniently located car hire services, and the comfort of a C1 from Best Cars—practicalities were seamlessly taken care of.

9) Abundant Room Choices

Our 2-bed bungalow, more like a spacious apartment, was a brilliant choice for us. It offered two separate bedrooms and a balcony/terrace area.  Alternatively, family rooms in the Marine Palace offer flexibility with sliding partitions.

10) Kids Disco Extravaganza

Our little ones danced the evenings away at the kids' disco, featuring not just English tunes but a delightful mix of German songs too—a multicultural hit!

11) Heartwarming Hospitality

The staff at Grecotel stole our hearts with their friendliness, care, and hard work. Their dedication turned a great stay into an unforgettable experience.
