Our Ship Visit
On the royal coronation, we visited the remarkable Le Bellot, the epitome of luxury exploration ships, as it anchored near Penzance. We presented our passports and stepped onto the tender, greeted by the breathtaking panorama of St Michael's Mount as we sailied to Ponant's Le Bellot.
A Glimpse of Le Bellot's Splendour
Le Bellot proudly stands as the fifth vessel of the illustrious Explorers class, a tribute to the intrepid spirit of French explorer Joseph Rene Bellot, renowned for his Arctic expeditions. The ship's christening in 2020 marked its entry into the world of luxury exploration, offering a sublime experience to its 184 guests. A vessel of unparalleled elegance, it spans six passenger decks, each accessible via a lift.
Eco-Friendly Technology
At 131 meters in length, Le Bellot carries an air of sophistication that is only surpassed by its dedication to green technology. Acknowledged as a "clean ship" and a global sustainability leader, it sails proudly towards a greener future. The onboard currency is Euros, enhancing the seamless experience for international travellers. Multilingual staff, fluent in French, English, and other languages, ensure a warm and accommodating environment for all guests.
Setting Sail to Enchanting Destinations
Le Bellot unfurls a world of captivating destinations, with notable visits to Iceland, the iconic Panama Canal, and the lush landscapes of Costa Rica. Its minimalist yet contemporary design, characterised by neutral hues and maritime-inspired tones, ensures a calming atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of exploration.
A World Aboard Le Bellot
Life onboard Le Bellot is an enchanting voyage of discovery, enriched by a myriad of experiences. An onboard art gallery invites artistic contemplation, while the theatre hosts educational lectures, mesmerising jazz performances, soulful pianists, enriching films, and more. For those inclined to leisure, the ship offers card games and a stunning lounge area featuring mirrored ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Culinary Delights
Gastronomic indulgence finds its zenith at the panoramic restaurant 'Le Nautilus', where modern design blends harmoniously with French and international flavours. With seating for all 184 guests in a single sitting, it's a communal celebration of delectable cuisine. An outdoor grill on deck 3 caters to open-air dining enthusiasts, ensuring a feast for the senses.
Unveiling Underwater Wonders
Le Bellot boasts the distinctive Blue Eye, an underwater lounge that provides an unparalleled window into the deep blue. Spa enthusiasts will find solace in the ship's hammam and wellness facilities, while the fitness centre and infinity pool cater to active travellers seeking rejuvenation.
