Formed as an educational project to help young rural people find work near their home village, it showcases Khmer handicrafts, varying from silk fabrics to wood carvings. The project guarantees a fair income as well as social and medical welfare to all its employees.
Learn how silk is made at Angkor Silk Farm and watch as it is woven by hand into beautiful garments which are sold in their attached gift shop.

Guide Price 2023 £2150pp

Day 1: Fly to Phnom Penh from the UK (International flights are included)

Day 2: Transfer to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure in Phnom Penh.

Day 3: After breakfast, your guide will meet you and give you a tour of the capital. First stop is the shimmering Royal Palace, followed by the Silver Pagoda. After a coffee break see Khmer art in the National Museum. After lunch visit the harrowing Genocide Museum.

Later in the day enjoy a walk along the Mekong River.

Day 4: Enjoy breakfast before the morning drive to Battambang, located in the north-west of Cambodia. On route, visit a traditional floating village by boat, as well as a local pottery village.

Day 5: Experience the real Battambang. Enjoy a tuk-tuk tour around the Cambodian countryside. In the afternoon, visit a local vineyard and enjoy a glass or two!

Day 6: Drive to Siem Reap (3 hours). Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7:Explore the incredible Angkor Wat Temple complex. In the afternoon, witness rural life on a vintage army jeep tour around the beautiful countryside surrounding Siem Reap. In the evening be entertained by the Phare Circus.

Day 8: Visit the stunning Banteay Srei, carved from red sandstone.

Head to a local market and cook some Khmer dishes with a chef.

In the afternoon explore Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm and Bayon temple.
