Discover Parga

Surrounded by pine, cypress, olive and orange trees, Parga has a wonderfully green setting, with hills, rivers, waterfalls and beaches all waiting to be explored.

Spend your days swimming, relaxing on the beach or trying watersports. Valtos Beach, stretching for around 2km, is one of the area's most popular beaches, while Lichnos Beach offers clear turquoise water in a beautiful bay.

Parga itself is made for wandering. Explore its cobbled streets, browse craft shops, jewellers and galleries, then find a waterfront taverna for the evening.

Above the town you'll find the remains of Parga's Venetian Castle, with wonderful views across the coast.

Other places to discover nearby include the Ali Pasha Castle, monasteries and the Church of Panagia. In August, Parga also celebrates the Kanaria Festival, bringing local traditions and celebrations to the waterfront.

Around 20 miles from Parga and facing towards Corfu, Sivota grew from a traditional fishing village into a picturesque harbour destination surrounded by wooded hills and beautiful coastline.

Stroll along the harbourfront as fishing boats, yachts and sailing boats come and go, find a waterfront restaurant for dinner or spend the day discovering the area's beaches and sheltered bays.

Sivota is particularly appealing if you want a relaxing Greek holiday surrounded by nature, while still having restaurants and harbour life within easy reach.

Around 20km south of Parga, the Nekromanteion of Acheron is an ancient archaeological site associated with the mythology of Hades and the underworld.

Combine a visit with more time exploring the Acheron area, or take to the river by boat.

Preveza

Preveza is a scenic coastal town with an international yacht harbour and atmospheric old quarter.

Nearby you'll find the archaeological site of Nikopolis, with Roman and Byzantine remains including walls, a stadium and theatres.

Ioannina & Dodoni

Travel inland to Ioannina, a historic lakeside city that makes an interesting contrast to the coast.
