Fira, Oia & the Caldera
Fira
Fira, Santorini's capital, sits high above the caldera and is filled with shops, restaurants, cafés and spectacular viewpoints.
The old port sits below the town and is connected to Fira by cable car and a steep path.
Oia
At the northern end of Santorini, Oia is famous for its whitewashed buildings, blue-domed churches and incredible views across the caldera.
It's particularly famous for its sunsets, which attract visitors from across the island.

Volcanic Beaches & Watersports
Santorini's volcanic landscape has created beaches that are very different from those found on many other Greek islands.
Perissa and Kamari are among the best-known, with dark volcanic sand, restaurants, bars and opportunities for watersports.
Around the island you'll find beaches with black, red and lighter-coloured volcanic landscapes, while Monolithos is particularly popular with families.
You can also take a boat trip to Therasia, a quieter neighbouring island across the caldera.
