When To Go
October is seen as the perfect time to visit Mauritius.
Avoid Jan & Feb as this is cyclone season.
We visited in the shoulder season in September. The island was warm with a pleasant breeze.
1. Mauritius has many festivals such as the Hindu pilgrimage, Maha Shivarati, in February. In the autumn there’s Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
2. There are many small islands surrounding Mauritius, so how about some island hopping? Ile aux Cerfs offers more beautiful beaches and golf, while Ile Aux Aigrettes is a protected habitat for pink pigeons and giant tortoises.
