What Will I See In Ecuador?
Colonial Cities
Wander across the cobblestones of the colonial capital of Quito. This historic centre is so well preserved it was the first ever UNESCO world heritage city. Take a seat in one of the plazas and admire the striking architecture of the palaces and churches around you. This second highest city in the world is a real fusion of old and new and a great place to spend your first few days in Ecuador.
Avenue of Volcanoes
Drive 200 miles through the Avenue of Volcanoes in central Ecuador, where the Andes meet the equator. Admire snow-capped volcanic peaks and lagoon filled calderas. Stop for a picnic watching Andean Condors soar overhead and see wild horses roam. There are plenty of opportunities for an active adventure here; trekking, mountain biking and climbing.
